One of my favorite things to do when I go to New York City is afternoon tea. The decadence, the ambiance, beautiful people, yes please! Afternoon tea is all of that and then some. What’s more, you can even order your afternoon tea with champagne! Did someone say Moet and Chandon?
But, aside from getting slightly tipsy before 5 o’clock, this is definitely an occasion to sport your chic ladylike taste level. You can never be too overdressed for an occasion like tea. It should be bright and cheerful and, of course, fun and flirty. Just like you, darling!
Right now, I’m totally digging this blush Miu Miu dress for the occasion. It feels like the blue Alice in Wonderland dress, just a little more updated. And who doesn’t want to feel some reminiscence of Alice during tea time? She and the Mad Hatter are the epitome of a tea party. They have perfected the art of the whole topsy turvy experience.
I’m styling the Miu Miu dress with Nicholas Kirkwood black bow embellished flats, a Stella McCartney miniature bucket bag, and a Maison Michel wide brimmed rabbit-felt fedora. Finish this look with this gorgeous gold Saint Laurent cuff and Etro gold tone locket.
This look is easily accessible and wearable for all women, no matter how minimal or outrageous your personal style is. It’s simple, chic, and fabulous!
