Happy Friday, fashion bugs! I’m packing and getting ready to go up to New York City where it is about 40-50 degrees colder than here in South Florida. Obviously, I have to be very considerate about packing since I’m not used to below freezing weather.
So, it got me thinking, what are the must haves to finish out the winter season?
- A FABULOUS coat or jacket.
I chose this Marni reversible jacket. It is a fur jacket on one side and leather with a fur line on the other. It’s definitely going to set a statement.
2. Sweater Dress
If you haven’t already guessed, I’m a huge fan of the sweater dress. I swear, it’s like wearing a hug. I love this Moschino sweater dress. I feel 80’s cool with this. 100% love.
Turtlenecks are definitely in style right now. I’m kind of obsessed with this Chloe turtleneck sweater. The button embellishment on the neck gives it some versatility and edge.
4. Black Denim Pants.
The early 90’s is having a comeback this season as well. These Frame Denim jeans are so great! When choosing a pair, stay away from the low-rise and opt for a mid-rise or high-rise pair. If your budget allows, I would recommend getting two pairs, one simple skinny pair and another distressed pair.
Two types of boots have my eye right now. These Rag and Bone ankle boots and these Robert Clergerie over the knee flat boots. Since I’m going to be in NYC, comfort is super important along with style. These are fantastic on both counts.
I’m really having a beanie moment right now. Best worn if you have long wavy hair. This is a cashmere beanie from The Elder Statesman and is sure to keep your head nice and toasty in the frigid air.
Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean the sun isn’t as damaging as the summer sun. Along with the daily sunscreen, a great pair of sunglasses is the ticket to still keeping your style in the cold months. I LOVE these square framed Victoria Beckham sunglasses. They are such a great pair to go with every outfit and work for every face frame.
Stay warm, fashion bugs!
